A Tooth!

My little Parker has offically started teething!

He has his first tooth poking through on the upper left side. I was so excited I almost wet myself!! (Although this now means sleepless nights and feeling terrible when he hurts...)

My sister found the tooth in the Taco Bell drive thru when she was visiting. We stopped to get some yummy tacos - and she shouts out from the back "Hey, do you know that Parker has a tooth?" Then I (ME THE MOMMY) had to wait until we pulled into the driveway at home to see the tooth for myself.

So congrats to my little guy on your first tooth at just shy of 4 months!
Mommy loves you!

I am back!

So talk about being a lazy blogger… sheesh! Hahaha, in fact I was still pregnant last time I visited my little blog world. Ooopss!

Well skip past the ‘entrance’ of Parker into this world, because he was quite a stinker and I don’t wish to relive that business. Let’s talk current here folks. Parker is my little ray of sunshine, and just the perfect little man. (Except when he poops everywhere, pees everywhere and spits up everywhere all in the same 20 minute time span… then he is just plain being a booger!)

Here is today’s ‘Parker’s Top Ten’

#10 Parker’s sound of choice is ‘ow’ (believes it is very impressive to the ladies)
#9 He thoroughly enjoys chewing on his own hands
#8 He has already seen his first little league baseball game – with Daddy as a coach
#7 He enjoys wearing plaid pants & shorts
#6 He finds it extremely funny to pee on his mother
#5 He finds it extremely funny to spit up on his mother
#4 He likes to watch t.v. – mostly sports with his daddy
#3 He enjoys taking baths in his ‘personal tub’
#2 He already has a girlfriend… sigh, such a ladies man!

And the number one ‘Parker’ tidbit of the day…
He still sleeps in his bassinet because his overprotective mommy refuses to give in and move him. (Daddy & Parker both think I am looney!)

I promise to keep writing again… although I am relatively sure no one reads this, so I don’t have to worry too much.

More about baby...

It’s interesting… our “things to do list” is getting longer instead of shorter!

Greetings everyone (or the two people who care to read this little Baby Blurb) from the giant pregnant lady. Today was our original "Baby Due Date" but baby doctor moved us back. So instead today we are 16 days away from Baby’s “Due to Arrive Date”, which I must say to me – seems an eternity away. However, I have heard endless times how much I will want to go back to the easy pregnant days once he gets here. Maybe those women don’t have swollen feet, constant back pain, 25 bathroom visits a day, not to mention some “unmentionable” troubles I won’t gross everyone out with!

Ryan & I are both feeling anxious but ready to meet our precious little person… Ryan falls asleep lots of nights with his hand on my tummy, making sure ‘Barney’ knows he is very loved. We spend extra time cuddling with the Mooks so she doesn’t feel left out, and she often spends an hour or two cuddled next to my tummy. I think she is letting baby brother know she is ready to meet him too! As for me, I still talk to the little guy – while in the car or shower. Lately we have been talking about when he might feel like coming – and how big he is! I am trying to get him to stay small… but I don’t know how that’s going either.

We are still having weekly doctor visits and all is well. Baby has a strong heartbeat and doctor believed he was head down (yea!) at our recent visit. I lost one pound over the week which doc says is a good sign, so we are hopeful we can meet baby soon. I am still doing fine also – my most recent test was negative which means no antibiotics during labor, another piece of really great news.

That’s all from this rambling “MTB” – catch you on the flip side!

Baby brings so many things...

I am sure everyone heard by now about my little accident at the office… oopps! I slipped in our hallway and fell on my left side. Of course, it was in front of LOTS of people – and boy was my face red! Skip a little bit to my boss recommending me calling my doctor & me finally saying “okay, couldn’t hurt”. Then the doctor saying “come in just to be safe”. Then skip to “actually, you are having contractions and we don’t like what we are seeing… we are sending you to Bryan”. Then spend hours hooked up to machines & get medicine to stop said contractions (happening every 3 minutes). Wowza, what an afternoon!

My co-workers, boss, friends & family were all very supportive & concerned, and I love & appreciate you all! Baby and I are doing just fine once again. He is still in there cooking right along.

I do think I am growing a bit every day though. I swear every time I put on a sweater or pair of pants they are all tighter than the time before. And Ryan loves to tease me about my t-shirts… they would now be appropriate for a belly dancer when I wear them! Baby must be working on putting on the pounds in there, since his daddy was 8 pounds & 12 ounces! I am hoping for somewhere in the 7 range, but we will see.

I had another baby shower on Sunday (the 17th) and it was the most wonderful fun I ever had! We enjoyed Lazlo’s food (the best in Lincoln there is!) and I chatted with lot’s of friends. I wish I had hours longer to talk to everyone because I was having such fun. I didn’t even mind sitting in the center of the room to open gifts. Plus, I got my diaper bag – and I had been waiting months to see it. Let me tell you, it was worth the wait. I am so in love with its adorableness I can’t even describe it to you. I need to learn how to sew – and create beautiful things like this! My lovely Brianna & Anna were in charge and I owe them huge for creating such a great memory for Ryan, Baby & me!

Follow the fun Lazlo’s shower with a shower at the office. I shared the spotlight with another pregnant office-mate, Amanda. She is due just a week after me. Whoops, we didn’t plan so well… need to remember that for next time. We had a delicious lunch and some time to gossip a bit with other female office members. They generously gave Barney a Target card which he will get some nice things with.

We have a check-up appointment on Thursday and we will see how things are going then. We are at 35 weeks now so not too much longer before Baby Aerni will greet everyone!

Love

Ryan, Jill & Baby ‘Barney’ Aerni
